ANIMAL  CAMOUFLAGE

This week our Junior students learnt how insects and animals behave and look that help them to blend into their natural environment. Students first observed a snail in the grass then viewed the Sci show Kids video Camouflage: Animal Hide & Seek. Students took part in a scavenger hunt for frogs. Some brightly coloured and others in brown and grey shades. They were given a time limit and had to locate them all, then we talked about the frogs that were easy to find and those that were challenging to find.

Students had to choose three different colours to colour in the bark on a tree trunk, a lizard, moth and spider then paste those objects into the matching template on the bark. They did a great job camouflaging the objects.
