Designing myStudies Workshop – Year 10 students

We are very fortunate to have myDesign Education come to Chev to run a two-day workshop with Year 10.

This workshop will provide the students with the opportunity to unlock their strengths, interests and motivators (S.I.M Profile) which will in turn support their process in the upcoming subject selections for Year 11 as well as teaching them how to use their SIM to make important life decisions.

Please see the outline of the proposed agenda for the workshop below:

Collective Shout presentation and parent information evening

On Tuesday 25 July, Collective Shout are offering an information evening for parents and carers following presentations to students on navigating a s*xed up world. Further information on the student presentations is available in previous Need to Knows.

Presenters

Melinda Tankard Reist, Author, Speaker, Advocate

Daniel Principe, Youth Advocate & Educator

Parent and carers information evening

The parent information evening will begin at 7.00pm in the Sacre Coeur Centre. The purpose of the parent evening is to empower parents and carers in the increasingly difficult role of guiding young people to healthy adulthood. By creating opportunity for conversation, we can be more informed and equipped to deal with the challenging situations that are facing the ever-changing landscape for our adolescents in the 21st Century, and our responses to them.

The parent and carer information evening is free to current Chev parents/carers. To register for the adult only information evening, click this link before 16 July and enter the code CHEV10. This event will be open to the wider community from 24 June, so get in quick to reserve your place now.
