Reporting - Maths

In line with recent K-2 Mathematics curriculum reform, changes have been made to the upcoming Semester One reports.

 

Previously, the Mathematics K-2 reports assessed key knowledge and skills in: Working Mathematically; Number and Algebra; Measurement and Geometry; Statistics and Probability.

 

The reformed syllabus contains new learning outcomes related to the knowledge, understanding and skills required in the focus areas of: 

  • Representing Whole Numbers
  • Combining and Separating Quantities
  • Forming Groups
  • Geometric Measure
  • 2D Spatial Structure
  • 3D Spatial Structure
  • Non-Spatial Measure
  • Data
  • Chance

Going home with students today is a handout containing information about how you can help your child at home with Mathematics. It contains simple ideas about how to incorporate mathematical conversations and concepts into everyday activities.
