CAT Competition Results

Aaron Brown, Assistant Domain Leader Mathematics

As highlighted in the previous edition of the College Newsletter, students across Year 7, 8 and 9 SEAL Mathematics participated in the Computational and Algorithmic Thinking (CAT) competition in late March 2021. This is a national competition which assesses student ability to apply the skills of computational and algorithmic thinking to various problem solving scenarios.

17,699 students from 379 schools participated in the competition. 5 of our students achieved a Distinction award for this competition, recognising their achievement in the top 15% of the state. A document explaining the awards framework can be found by clicking here.
