2023 Community Connections

Year 11's are making weekly visits to Black Rock Activity Centre. They are exploring the world of the older adult and gaining new skills each week. This week the older adults are teaching the students how to knit and next week the students will be providing activities they have designed to promote physical, mental or social health.

Year 12 VCAL have had a Street Law incursion highlighting the rights of an individual and the role of the police in the community. 

They have also started with the PADSIP Intergenerational Project where students are involved in a weekly session with the older adults. They share items of sentimental value, songs and stories and then create a digital story of the older adult using filming and editing techniques within Work Related Skills.
