A MESSAGE FROM OUR PRINCIPAL

Hi Everyone,
This is our second last newsletter for the year and we are now frantically busy at school.
We are finishing up 2019 this week. Next week starts the head start program when staff will be preparing students for the move to new rooms and staff for 2020.
GRADUATION
There are two major events occurring next week, the first is graduation on Thursday 12th December. This is a really special evening when we say goodbye and good luck to our graduates. This year there are 12 leaving us to take up adult options in 2020.
CURRICULUM DAY
The second major event is curriculum day on Friday 13th of December. This means there is no school for students but staff will be here setting up and moving classrooms.
HEAD START
Our head start program is a great way for students to transition into the new school year, it prevents most of the anxiety and uncertainty that many of our students experience over the summer holidays and ensures a smooth start back to school after Christmas.
SURFS UP
Every now and then something really exciting comes across my desk and this week it is the opportunity for our students to enjoy a day of surfing. The dates are Saturday 15th of February and Saturday 28th of March next year. Some of our students have participated in these days in the past and had a ball. There is also the opportunity to volunteer and help out as well. The flyer is in the newsletter, I recommend that if you are interested you register early as possible as places fill fast.
PLEASE DON'T FORGET
There is no school for students on Friday 13th December.
The last day of school for our graduates is Thursday 12th of December.
Students will be home an hour early on Friday 20th December which is the last day of term.
