Language Innovation

Level 3 and 4

The Year 3 and Year 4 Language innovators will be provided with an opportunity to explore ancient Chinese inventions and the importance of these ancient inventions to our lives today. They will investigate historical stories of the inventions and practice recounting them in Chinese. By the end of the unit, the innovators will create a brochure of the learned inventions outlining their unique features and history.

Level 5 and 6

The Year 5 and Year 6 Language innovators will be presented with various informational texts about ancient Chinese science and technologies throughout the term. The learning will boost their reading comprehension skills and develop their understanding of the structure of information reports in Chinese. The innovators will then research the selected topic and apply the learnt skills to create a powerful text to celebrate their learning.
