EAL

Peer Tutoring Program

The program has been designed to work in partnership with the Craigieburn South Primary School, it aims for our selected EAL students to support primary school EAL students with their homework during their homework club every Thursday after-school.

Rolling with the Punches

Rolling in with the Punches boxing program aims to educate and equip participants with the knowledge needed to be able to develop an active role in making decisions while feeling angry or stressful.

This program is focusing on the EAL students who have trauma backgrounds due to their experience of witnessing war, fleeting their home country and settling into a new country, culture, language and all other barriers.

The program aim to enhance students’ well-being and mental health, as research shows that physical activities are not only beneficial for the body but also for the mind.

Love Bites

The overall aims of the program are to prevent, to educate and equip participants with the knowledge needed to be able to develop an active role in taking action against violence. The program is designed to be inclusive and culturally sensitive due to the participants being from a refugee background.

The program will be delivered during the same time (term 4) as the year 9 ‘Love Bite’, this had provided our EAL parents with the opportunity and the understanding of what their children are learning and the benefit of the program.
