Wominjeka Everyone,

We hope that you all are safe and well!

As I mentioned last week, we launched our YouTube channel with some videos of tutorials or challenges:

 https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCf_gwvZ_O-qkGthr6du3-zQ/

LEGO Competition:

As usual our Lego Competition was a success as we had quite few entries. We thank all the children who have participated and shared their work with us! Trust me, it was very hard to adjudicate!

And the winner is… Dylan Simmie for his beautiful tree house and the price is a mini display case!

Now, we just need to deliver it to his house! J

The next construction competition is to build a bridge – you can use any kind of constructions (not just LEGOS) or materials, extra points for a sustainable bridge… let’s begin the challenge!

Remember all entries are due by 9am Monday the 27th of April, please send us some photos of your work to oshc.brunswick.nw.ps@edumail.vic.gov.au

I am wondering what the price will be this time!

Anzac Day:

OSHC team would like to share with you  something special for this Anzac Day:

You might like to make memorial lanterns (very sustainable and very easy to make - see picture below). They will be lighting up driveways all over Australia on AZAC day at dawn.

What you need:

An empty 2L milk Bottle, label removed

Permanent Markers

Sand, gravel or dirt (to weight the lantern)

Tea light candles

Steps:

Ask an adult to help you cut the milk bottle just below the handle.

Use permanent markers to decorate them.

Use a little sand, dirt or gravel to weight the lantern before placing on your driveway.

Ask an adult to help to light  the tea light candle
