The last few years have been a tough time for many in our region. During these difficult times it’s important to be aware of how we minimise our stress and cope with ongoing uncertainty and pressures.
Walcha Council, DPI Rural Recovery Support Service and the Rural Adversity Mental Health Program (RAMHP) are inviting you to be involved in the Finding Calm in Chaos online photo competition.
Snap a photo of something that brings you calm or helps lower your stress levels and send it in. It might be being in the garden, exercising, cooking or meeting up with a friend. Whatever it is, we would love you to share what strategies you use to look after yourself!
Photos can be posted directly to our FB event or Instagram page by searching “FindingCalminChaos2021” or you can email your photos to findingcalminchaos2021@gmail.com
All ages are encouraged to send in photos and we would love you to follow along over the next few months to see what others are doing to find their calm. You might even get some inspiration to try something new!
There will be a number of workshops hosted by Walcha Handmade over the series of the competition.
There’s no limit on how many photos you add from September to November and we will be announcing prizes at the conclusion of the competition. Thanks to local support from Walcha Handmade, a collection of photos will be displayed in their window for everyone to enjoy.
