First assembly for Term 2
A reminder to all families that the first assembly for the term will be held next Monday 23rd April at 9.00am.

A reminder to all families that next Wednesday 25th April is a public holiday (Anzac Day) and that Thursday 26th April is a Curriculum Day.
3/4 Camp
The 3/4 camp is to be held at the PGL Adventure Camp at Campaspe Downs during the 7th-9th of May. We look forward to a report from the Campers on their return.
Year 6-7 Transition
This week parents/carers of students in year 6 received the information pack and application for Year 7 placement forms in 2019. Parents and carers are required to return the application for Year 7 placement forms by the 11th May.
Parent/Carer Tours for children commencing school in 2019
Parent/carer enrolment tours for the 2019 Foundation year have commenced this week. Please contact the school office or visit the school website for further information. Sibling enrolment documents are now available from the office.
Capital Works – Toilet upgrade
On Thursday the 19th of April student representatives – Amy and Jack from the Working Group attended a briefing at the architects designing the new toilets. They were able to provide further feedback on the design and look at colour boards and materials. Please see the article in the Education News.
Trivia Night
A reminder to all community members that our annual trivia night which one of our major fundraisers for the year will be held on Saturday 2nd June. Please see the flyer in our Fundraising section. Tickets will be on sale on Monday 23rd of April through Eventbrite.
Vale Stan
Our school neighbour of many years, Stanley Head in Athol Street sadly passed away this week. Stan had a keen interest in the happenings at MPW and its students and would often be seen returning various balls that ended up over Stan’s side the fence. Stan also loved to have a chat and would often walk through MPW on his way to collect his paper from the milk bar in Eglinton Street. Stan will be sadly missed.
A Celebration of Stan's life will be held at Essendon Windy Hill Function Centre, Legends Room, on Tuesday (April 24) at 1.00 pm.
