Urban Microbat Project Celebration News  - National Science Week

On Thursday 18th of August from 5.30 – 6.30pm Vicki and I are hosting our Urban Microbat Project Learning Information night for our Year 3 and 4 students which was supported through a grant from the Yarra City Council.

The event will be about students sharing aspects of their learning throughout the project and conclude with a spotlighting walk around the school grounds looking for microbats and nocturnal animals. Author of ‘ Questions Raised by Quolls’ and ‘The Eastern Curlew’, Harry Saddler who is passionate about connecting people to urban wildlife will be joining us as will Craig Lupton from Yarra City Council who is passionate about local urban bat species and protecting them.

We hope our Year 3 & 4 families can attend and we advise you all to rug up for the spotlighting session and update your child`s attendance on Compass. Year 3 & 4 students must come along with at least one adult.
