VMware, which is one of the largest software companies in the world, has joined forces with Our Lady of Fatima to organise coding sessions as part of the Hour of Code program. A group of Year Four students have been selected to participate in this initiative organised by Ryan Douglas.
The sessions occur every week for five consecutive weeks. Each session has the students completing written and virtual challenges via a series of online games using Google and Scratch.
Each session will be conducted by Mrs Gordon and VMware employees and will aim to teach the students a range of topics that exist within coding.
This year due to COVID 19 guidelines the program will be delivered virtually via Zoom.
The students look forward to sharing their experiences and acquired skills over the next few weeks.
