Foundation 2023 Transition

The last Transition session was a great morning with the students becoming more confident with school and trying new things.  This last two sessions we have spent the morning in the Japanese and STEAM Room engaged in hands-on learning activities.

In Japanese, the students made Ninjas out of paper and learnt about the Ninja tradition.  The session began with a ninja star hunt and there were many eager students to search for the stars hidden over the room.

This week's Steam session focused on push and pull and the students built their own skill tester using a marble, paper plate, pipe cleaners and paper to create ramps, tunnels and turns.  Some of the creations were very tricky to successfully complete!

Our next sessions are on:

Wednesday 30th November 2022 8:45-9:45am

This session will begin with Morning Fitness (all foundation students together) and then a session with the Foundation Teacher creating some Christmas Craft and will have the opportunity to meet with their buddies for 2023. Please meet under the shade sails.  

Parents are welcome to meet in the staffroom for a cup of tea or coffee while the children are engaged in the activities.

Tuesday 6th December 8:45am - 11:30am

This is a whole group Transition Session in the classroom designated for next year.  It is an opportunity for students to meet their buddies, look around the classroom and do some fun and engaging activities with each other.  Students will also have an opportunity to play in the playground with the rest of the school.

Parents are welcome to meet in the staffroom for a cup of tea or coffee while the children are engaged in the activities or you may like to have some time to yourself while the students are at school.
