2020 SWIMMING CARNIVAL
The St Patrick’s School Swimming Carnival will be held on Tuesday, 18th February 2020.
Organisation:
The school students are divided into two groups – 1a/ competitive lap (who have the option of competing at the Diocesan level) and 1b/25m swimmers, who swim from the beginning of the carnival and 2/ swimmers who swim across the pool and in the little pool. All Group 1 attends from the beginning of the Carnival. Group 2 joins after 11:30. The carnival will conclude after lunch with the relays and presentations -approximately 2:00pm.
All children will come to school as normal. Competitive swimmers (Group 1a: 100m, 50m,
Medley and 1b: 25 metre racers) will then catch the bus from school to the pool for a 9:30
start. Non-competitive swimmers (Group 2: little pool/and any across the pool racers) will
remain at school until after recess. These students will then catch the bus to the pool at
11:30 in time for their events.
All children are required to pay $3- for the bus. Walcha Council has advised entry to the pool is free. Anyone who has already paid $2.50 entry fee, will be refunded.

ACTIVE KIDS VOUCHER
Parents can apply for an Active Kids Voucher. This is a rebate of a $100 voucher to parents/guardians of school enrolled children. The $100 voucher can be used for registration and participation costs for sport and fitness activities. Every child (4.5 - 18 years’ old) enrolled in school from Kindergarten to Year 12 is eligible. It will not be means tested and one voucher will be available for every child in the family annually over the next four years. There will be no limits on the number of applications per family, as long as every child is enrolled in school.
