Message from Rhonda Fletcher

Last week we had a visit from Luke Donnellan, the Representative for Narre Warren North electorate in the Victorian Parliament. He is also the Minister for Disability, Aging and Carers. Nathan, our school Captain, and Skye from our Transition class helped me show Luke around our school. He talked to a number of our students during his visit. Luke is keen to visit us again and support our students’ education.

On Wednesday our staff had a professional development day. Paul Cronin spoke to the staff in the morning on developing relationships with parents. In the afternoon two ladies from the Australian Muslim Women’s Centre shared information with us about the various Muslim cultures in Australia and their differing beliefs and customs.

Driving in school drive way

In order to keep everyone safe can you please drive at a walking pace when you are driving through the school drive way and carpark. Also, please do not park on the footpath as this blocks access for our students and their families when they walk into the school.

Student Illness

As we come into winter many of our students may become unwell. This is another reminder to please keep children home if they are sick. The school will always call you to come and pick up your child if they are sick to try and prevent the spread of illness across the school.

COVID restrictions at school

Most of the COVID restrictions for schools have now been lifted but we are still required to limit the number of visitors in our foyer area. Please keep your time in this area to a minimum and wait to enter this area if they are too many people.

Thanks,

Rhonda
