Deputy Principal Report

Dear Parents,

It has been a wonderful first semester as we have returned to engaging in person and resuming many events and activities that had been absent over the last couple of years.

We are however very mindful not to let go of all that we learnt through the challenges of the last  last two years.

Thank you to all who participated in our online parent teacher intervierws this week. It was a truly great example of applying what we have learnt. We had parents able to join from Portugal, Italy, sunny Queensland, from home and the office. One parent may have even conducted their interview while chasing after a tram.

This really reinforced for us the power of technology to be inclusive. We will continue to work on utilisng technology to break down the barriers between school and home, as teachers and students find more and more ways to share learning, feedback and expereinces through the use of technology.

Of course, what has made this semester so special has been the return to the ability to have face to face interaction, which is irreplacable and a fundamental need for all of us.

To help us find this balance I have put together a Google Form seeking feedback on our Student Reports and Parent Teacher Interview processes.
