Principal's Report

The impact of the COVID19 restrictions is having a massive influence on the economy and job security.  Any school family who is experiencing financial hardship and needs assistance with school fees obligations is encouraged to contact me via

email (principal@ssrowville.catholic.edu.au) to discuss how we can help at this time.

Dear Parents and Guardians,

On behalf of the St Simon’s School staff, I would like to congratulate our community on the marvellous way in which you have assisted with the smooth transition of our Prep, Year 1 and Year 2 students return to the school site.  After a week back at school the students are settling back into classroom routines and enjoying the freedom of playing in the schoolyard at recess and lunch (when it’s not raining!)

One of the keys to our successful return to the school site has been the collective expression of patience and understanding demonstrated by all families, students and staff.

The school drop-off and pick up times have operated smoothly and efficiently, even during some inclement weather.

On Tuesday 9th June we will welcome back our Year 3, Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6 students to the school site.  As a school community, we are looking forward to returning to some level of normality within the “new normal” post COVID19 pandemic response.

I strongly encourage each school family to have a discussion with the students about which location they will be picking up from.

Please refer to the map below to assist with your planning.

It is extremely important that parents and carers coming to the school site at drop off and pick up time, continue the practice of social\physical distancingPhysical distancing is one of the key pieces of advice given by the Chief Health Officer to prevent the virus from being caught or transmitted.  Thank you for your cooperation.

Please note this Monday 8th June is Public Holiday.  I hope that the long weekend will provide some rest and relaxation for you and your family.

Please note there will be no School closure day on Monday 15th June as indicated in the take-home School Calendar.

Our new look Newsletter!  - Thank you

Thank you to the members of our school community who took the time to provide some feedback about the School’s newly formatted newsletter. It is encouraging to hear the positive reception to this change.  Over the coming weeks, we will continue to refine the layout of information and the appearance of the newsletter

Enrolment 2021 - Existing Families: Spread the Word

During Term 2 the School begins the formal process of securing the following year’s Prep enrolment.  Thank you to those existing families who have responded to the communication regarding the enrolment of a sibling into Prep 2021.

“Word of mouth” is our biggest asset when it comes to building our enrolment so I encourage you to consider sharing with your family, friends and neighbours what you value the most about St Simon’s School. This is a way of promoting our school in the community and any family who is interested in enrolment needs to go to the school website and click on “Enrol Now” to find out more about the process.

God bless
