Welcome back

I hope everyone had a fantastic holiday.  A big thank you to Adam Houreau for bringing our stools back to life in the library they look fantastic.   Also thank you to the Neilson family for grading our carpark during the holidays.  It is wonderful to have such a devoted caring parent community giving up time to support the school.

STAFFING

We have been very fortunate to welcome 2 new staff members to the Bunyip community.  John Wigg is our new grade 3/4 teacher.  John is an experienced teacher and he previously worked at Koo Wee Rup PS.

Cameron Brown is well known in our school has has worked in OSCH and has volunteered many hours in our classrooms.  Cameron was successful in gaining a fulltime position as an ES member of staff.

We are currently in the process of trying to employ a science teacher.

VARIETY SHINE PROGRAM

The Variety Shine Program provides kids, who are facing challenges at school, with access to a team of allied health professionals at school.  The health professionals come together from various disciplines to understand each individual child and how best to support their learning and future educational outcomes.

They will be with us for 7 weeks. They are here to do screening of preps and to work with selected Grade 1 and 2 students.

We are very fortunate to have this program running in our school as we are one of only two schools in Victoria with the program running in term three.
