Principal's Report

Dear parents,

From 8 November our school started to operate on updated Level 3 settings, and we will remain on this level for the rest of Term 4, with additional activities allowed in a COVID-safe manner.

Student attendance at school

All students are expected to be at school unless they are unwell. Do not attend school if unwell, even with mild symptoms. Get tested for COVID-19 and follow NSW Health directions.

If you have any COVID-19 symptoms you will be sent home and must not return to school unless you have either:

isolated for 10 days, when no medical certificate is available
a negative COVID-19 test result and are symptom free.

In circumstances where a student has other medical reasons for recurrent symptoms, a letter from your GP is sufficient to negate the requirement for a negative test.

Rapid Antigen Home Tests (RAHT)

NSW Health has approved the use of Rapid Antigen Home Test kits as an option to get children back to face-to-face learning earlier in the event they are identified as a close contact. This means they can return to school after 7 days rather than 14 days. The test is optional and is conducted at home under adult/parent supervision. The use of RAHT is optional. Children will need to isolate for the full 14 days if parents do not wish to use a RAHT. We will continue to provide learning from home materials for students isolating due to being a close contact.

Semester 2 Academic Reports

Student reports will be available online from Wednesday 8 December 2021 at 4.00pm.

A reminder for all parents that the website address to access these reports is as follows

You will be requested to use the email address (username) that you used originally to register.

Student who are new to our school, will receive a letter with instructions on how to register and get access to the portal.

Community Language Showcase

The Community Language Showcase will take place on Tuesday 23 November, 2021 from 9.00am – 10.00am. The showcase is a collaborative effort of students from Years 1 to 6. Students are encouraged to wear cultural clothing on the day instead of their school uniform.

This year the showcase will be a virtual event in line with departmental guidelines. Families will be able to view the showcase via Zoom.
