VCE Vocational Major Information Session

Families can access the recording of the VCE Vocational Major Information Session at the Blackburn High School Careers Website at careers.blackburnhs.vic.edu.au.

This event informed families that from 2023, Blackburn High School will offer the Victorian Certificate of Education: Vocational Major (VCE VM), which replaces the Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL). The existing Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) will continue to be offered without alteration.

2022 Blackburn High School Careers & Subject Expo

Students had the opportunity to attend the 2022 Careers & Subject Expo in the final week of Term 2.

Thank you to all students and staff for making the event such a great success!

Students were able to access information on Year 9 and 10 Electives, VCE Subjects, Vocational Education & Training (VET) and Post-School Options including University and TAFE study.

Blackburn HS Learning Areas will provided detailed information on Electives and VCE Subjects allowing students and families to make informed course selection decisions.

Students interested in undertaking Vocational Education & Training (VET) and the new VCE Vocational Major (VCE: VM) were able to access information from our Leadership Team and Pathways Leader to decide whether VET or VCE: VM is right for them.
