Planting and Pledges
On Thursday afternoon, The Green Team had an exciting visit from Tree Education Officer Belinda Moody from Whitehorse City Council.
The rain held off, and she toured the school with some staff and Green Team students as they assessed the best areas for planting some new greenery. We are working to enhance the biodiversity and natural beauty of our school grounds, and we’d love to have more students involved! Come along to RC3 at lunchtime on Thursdays to be a part of shaping our school environment.
We also have Pledge Week just around the corner in Week 3 of next term! Pledge Week started at BHS in 2018 as a way to get us to think about our daily choices that can impact the environment.
We are all going to make our own pledge – an action that we will aim to stick to throughout the week that will help the environment in some way. Some of our Year 12s have already made their pledges, and we’re looking forward to seeing all the creative ways the school community can come up with to protect our wonderful environment!
