CHESS TOURNAMENT

Congratulations to the team of students who participated in Wednesday’s Chess Tournament at Burwood East Primary School.  In a very exciting competition with students from eleven schools, after seven rounds of chess Mount View emerged as the winning school on 24 points.  They were followed by Glendal on 20, PLC on 17 and Highvale PS on 16.5.

In addition to winning the competition and becoming eligible for state finals, the individual award for the day’s best player went to Rohan P.  In equal second place came Yuxiang P and Yanxiang H.

A special well done to the entire team who supported each other throughout the competition, win, lose or draw.  As ambassadors for the school, the students were first class.
