Hugh Williamson Scholarship Award

Congratulations Ashlee Wright!

Madison (one of our Youth Workers) and I had the pleasure of supporting Ashlee Wright in receiving the Salvation Army Hugh Williamson Grant Scholarship.

Ashlee was 1 in 17 students within the North & Western District to receive the scholarship to help go towards any outstanding school fees/charges for her last year of schooling. These funds will also go towards general everyday items to help manage her current living circumstances as well as future goal planning with her dream of becoming a Veterinarian Nurse.

Ashlee continues to inspire all of us with her determination and ‘never give up’ attitude despite the challenges and adversity she has faced the past few years.

This is what early intervention, the right supports & compassionate teaching looks like for students like Ashlee, so thank you so much to everyone who has played a part this year and over the years in supporting these supports alongside us!

We wish her all the very best!

Warm regards,

On the 12th of March 2020 one of our students at CSC, received the Hugh Williamson Scholarship award. Ashlee Wright from year 12 VCAL was 1 of 17 students within the Northern & Western District to receive this scholarship.

The Scholarship funds will contribute towards Ashlee’s future goals of becoming a Veterinary Nurse or a related profession within the medical industry.

“When I found out I was getting the scholarship award I was very surprised and happy. This is my chance to continue my studies and work hard to achieve my future goals!” – Ashlee Wright.

Ashlee has consistently shown resilience and determination by always being proactive in her educational pursuits. It is clear to see that Ashlee possesses a ‘never give up’ attitude, despite the adversity that she has faced and has successfully overcome as a young adult.
