Year Three 2019

Welcome to the Year 3 Community! Our students have had a terrific start to the school year and are passionate about the year ahead. So are our teachers and Learning Support Staff. Introducing….

Mr Guy Toomey, Mrs Charlotte Hunter, Miss Lana Brockenshire along with our Learning Support Officers, Mrs Nancy Carabella and Mrs Lynne Lennon.

Students have been excited about their new classrooms with the move into ‘middle school’. They have been practising their handwriting and are keen to work towards their ‘joining licences’ later in the year. Of most excitement though has been the introduction of their Google Chromebooks and new ways of learning.

Our Inquiry Topic this semester is a Geography Unit called ‘Mind Your Mapping’.

Students have been labelling Australia’s States and Territories and their important geographical features including rivers and oceans.

It was a pleasure meeting with the parents of our Year Three students this week and we are looking forward to working with you and your children over the coming year.
