Student Voice in schools - Survey for students
As you may know, the Office of the Advocate for Children and Young People (ACYP) is an independent statutory office that aims to make NSW a better place for children and young people. ACYP promotes the safety, welfare, and wellbeing of all children and young people aged under 25 in NSW. Our role is to ensure their points of view and ideas are heard by adult decision makers.
YOUTH VOICE IN SCHOOLS
The 2023 NSW Youth Advisory Council (YAC) are passionate about ensuring young people have a say when it comes to their education, and they want to hear from students about how schools can best listen to students.
We need your help!
Please share this short survey with students at your school.
What we do with their answers
Our team reads every response that comes through. We summarise the results, and the YAC will share them as a report. This work will also be promoted as part of their Annual Report, to be made public in late 2023, and will be shared with the NSW Department of Education and other Government decision makers.
Young people won't be identified in the report and we won't ask for names or contact information.

We have also attached a poster and a social media tile (please note you will have to include the link in the social media post), that you can use to promote the survey across your schools.
