Reading + Parents = Success

As the holidays approach us, continuing to read with your child is important. It is essential to keep on practising decoding, comprehension and vocabulary skills that have been learnt throughout Term 1. Here are some tips from PETTA to assist you during the holidays. The video link below is specific to home learning, but the strategies discussed can be used anytime whilst reading at home with your child.

PETAA (Primary English Teachers Association Australia) has two offerings to share with parents, both from literacy specialist and PETAA author and presenter Kaye Lowe and renowned literacy expert and experienced classroom teacher Jennifer Asha. They share their tips and tricks for parents who are reading and learning with their children.
