Welcome back to term 3 from the PA team.
It looks like many families managed to get away during the break and have some time out - it was great seeing pictures on social media from many different places.
We have a busy term 3 for events and we would like to ask our parent community to rally once more and help build some momentum towards our next major event coming up in a couple of weeks on Saturday the 6th of August which should be a great night.
PARENTS NIGHT OUT: SATURDAY THE 6TH OF AUGUST AT BRIGHTON YACHT CLUB - LET'S GET NAUTICAL
We are excited. For the first time in over 2 years we are able to get the St James Parents together at our main event!! The Parents Night Out has always been pivotal in building our school spirit and celebrating our sense of community, which makes our school special.
This is our major fundraising event, all your contributions are going directly to the school. Tickets are still available so don’t miss out. The event includes food and entertainment throughout the entire night. There will be games, prizes, DJ, photo booth and a silent auction with heaps of goodies up for grabs! 4 lucky golden ticket holders will win up to $1000 in vouchers! Get your tickets ASAP. Remember past parents and friends are welcome and please feel free to invite and forward details to them.
Don’t forget we also have the Golden Ticket Raffle, be in the running for $1000 of vouchers including $500 Chadstone Gift Card, $150 Elwood Bathers, $150 Mr & Mrs P, $100 Brighton Hotel, $100 Marine Hotel. Ticket bundles can be purchased at the same time as your event ticket via trybooking.
Every ticket sold before Thursday 21st July, 9pm will automatically go into the running to win a bottle of Bollinger, kindly donated by one of the St James Families. This includes all tickets purchased to date. Winner announced this Friday, stay tuned.
Tickets are on sale now, but will close Tuesday 26th July 9.00pm. So if you haven’t booked please do so TODAY! Golden Tickets Sales will stay open for an extra week.

Remember if you can’t make the event but still want to show your support, we encourage you to buy to Golden Ticket $15 or a bundle! The silent Auction booklet will also be available prior to the event so you can also put in a bid on any item/s of interest beforehand.
Thanks to those that have donated to date. As we sprint to the finish line, we still need your help with raising auction items. Do you have something you can donate or can you ask some-one you know? Items can be dropped into school for collection.

BUNNINGS SAUSAGE SIZZLE : SUNDAY 24 JULY 2022, BUNNINGS MOORABBIN
Matt & Steph Glowaski, the Foundation Dads and others across all year levels have done a wonderful job volunteering for many of the BBQ shifts. There are a couple of spots to fill at the end of the day, so if you enjoy the smell of the Bunnings BBQ and can help out, please add your name to the roster : Google Drive Link

COLOUR RUN: FRIDAY 2 SEPTEMBER 2022
The colour run is on Friday the 2nd of September the fundraising pages are still open, so it’s time to revisit and remind family and friends they can support. Let’s see how much we can continue to raise!
As a bonus incentive anyone that raises $50 or more will go into the draw to slime a teacher on the day plus the chance to win a razor electric scooter. The class that raises the most funds earns themselves fish and chips for lunch.
Please make sure that you set up the students virtual profiles and share with family and friends.
Donations can be made online or cash is also accepted.

AN UPDATE ON WHERE ALL OUR ALL OUR FUNDRAISING IS GOING
The money raised by the PA and school community is funding the purchase of a new public access defibrator machine, which means anyone even without training can save lives.
We are very grateful for the continued support of all our parents, the school and local community. All our PA members are volunteers who generously give up their own time to organize our school events.
