End of Year Mass

Our End of Year mass was a beautiful way to give thanks for the year that we have had and reflect on how we have all grown this year. Thank you to Mrs Hicks for  organising the liturgy and all she has done this year as Religious Education Coordinator. 

FIRE Carriers Announced

Our Student FIRE Carriers for 2023 were announced recently.  Congratulations to Jayden Atkinson, Jessica Newson, Noah Woods, Louise Garcia, Izel Davis, Savannah Hooker Zac Hardisty and Budd Haig.

Our FIRE Carriers play an important role in educating others about the importance of Reconciliation and leading events throughout the year.

Gr 6 Celebration Night

Our Gr 6  Celebration Night was a wonderful occasion and a fitting farewell to our Gr 6's. It was wonderful to see a full house again with so many families gathering together.  I would to sincerely like to thank our senior school staff for organising such a high class ceremony.

End of Year Reports

Semester 2 Reports will be available on our online Parent Access Module (PAM) tomorrow.  Please take the time to read through the reports and discuss goals for 2022.  Thank you to the teachers who have spent many hours compiling the reports.  Please contact the office if you have any difficulties accessing the reports.

2023 Staff Structure

Please see below for next year's staff structure.  I am very excited to welcome Breanna Corbo from St Augustine's Kyabram who will be teaching in the Gr 3/4 unit.  Mrs Hicks is looking forward to her new role next year as our specialist music teacher.

I would like to sincerely thank our school council members for giving up their time to assist me with making decisions and the direction of the school. I would particularly like to thank Brayden Aitkin who is finishing his time in the group.  Brayden has been on the council for 7 years and during that time he has been of great assistance with a variety of aspects especially building projects. Thanks Braydon.

Principal's Award

Week 9 Boston Ferarri.  Boston is an all round outstanding student in all areas of school.  He is an excellent learner in the classroom and a fantastic friend and role model to others in the playground.  As Mrs Dowling says Boston, you are a ripper!

 

Week 10 Sienna Dean.  Sienna is very proud of her aboriginal heritage and has always been happy to share the knowledge of her culture with others.  St Mary's has been very lucky to have had Sienna as such an influential FIRE  carrier and leader of our school.  Congratulations Sienna.

Christmas Raffle

Thank you to our P&F committee for organising this years Christmas raffle and the wider school community for donating gifts for the hampers. The raffle will be drawn at our End of year school picnic.
