Principal's Report

Dear Parents, Families and Community members,

The end of Week 7, Term 3 and only three weeks to go! And what a fantastic week it has been, culminating in our Book Week Parade today. So much colour, so much commitment (to dressing up) and so much fun.

We had a great turn out from families for our parade and there was such a buzz around the school all day.

District Athletics

On Thursday the 18th of August, we had 58 Years 3-6 students brave the elements and head to Landy Field for the District Athletics.

All of our ACS students did us proud, showing great commitment whilst competing in a variety of track and field events. It was really fabulous to watch all our students supporting each other, cheering, filling in for students that were sick and going that extra mile to show care for each other.

Sportsmanship was on show all day, as we encouraged all the ACS students and other schools. There were some fabulous individual performances as well, with 9 of our students excelling in their events, they will now move on to the next stage. Well done to all our students that competed!

The students that were lucky enough to make it through to the next stage are:

  • Eve (High Jump and 200m)
  • Esmail (High jump)
  • Lucas (Long jump)
  • Josh (100m)
  • Noah (80m hurdles)
  • April (Discus)
  • Alana (Discus)
  • Cush (High jump)
  • Tyler (Triple jump)

Great job everyone!

Sports Colours Day

On the last day of Term 3 (Thursday 15th September) we will be having a Sports Colours Dress Up Day.

Fight Cancer Foundation’s Sports Colours Day is a national community fundraising event which helps kids with cancer keep up with school.

Please bring along a gold coin donation and wear your best sporting team colours on the last day of Term!

Lost Property

Just a friendly reminder to please clearly name all items of uniform, water bottles & personal belongings so that they can be returned to your child ASAP.

We have a huge amount of unnamed uniform items that cannot be returned to its rightful owner due to not having a name on it.
