Hi parents, guardians, staff and friends!
We continue to welcome all new children and families to TheirCare this term and we are very happy to be getting more children each morning and afternoon. We are excited to be meeting more and more of the brilliant people in this beautiful FWPS community!
Last week we had a construction competition and we had two winners. Arlo Riley and Anneliese Wirth, they created amazing towers and won a chocolate bar and got to choose something from the prize box. Well done to Arlo and Anneliese.
This week’s theme is Marine Animals! This week’s competition is to create or draw a sea creature, using our imagination and also lots of colour. So far, we have had at least 30 entries as everyone wants to win and have those bragging rights of the coolest sea creature. This week we have also been trying to do some different things. On Wednesday morning we played Tug of War where we built an arena and had competitions on who was the strongest or who had the mentality to win, it was lots of fun. We are also starting to introduce Cheese Toasties Fridays where Friday morning we do cheese toasties for anyone who wants one, so far it has been very successful.
This week’s Star of the Week for TheirCare is Ada Durie for always being a great leader with the other preps and always being a great help in the before and after school program. Well Done Ada!!
On Wednesday the 21st of June the school has a pupil-free day. TheirCare will be open to all families and can be found on the Fully Booked website under the date. We are open from 7am to 6:15pm, any enquires please do not hesitate to message or email Ashleigh.
School Holiday’s are fast approaching and so are the Holiday program fun. The holiday program activities have come out with some exciting excursions planned. From visiting Bounce, going to Inflatable World, Funtopia and going to see the new movie Elementals - we are going to have some fun!! There are flyers in the TheirCare room and online which have details about what is happening each day and all the fun things we have planned.
