Hi parents, guardians, staff and friends! 

We continue to welcome all new children and families to TheirCare this term and we are very happy to be getting more children each morning and afternoon. We are excited to be meeting more and more of the brilliant people in this beautiful FWPS community!  

This week has been a lot of fun and we were happy to welcome back Ashleigh after being away on teaching placement for two weeks. We would like to say a massive thank you to Paige and Connie who stepped up while Ash was away - they did an amazing job.

This week’s theme is Construction Week! TheirCare kids love to build towers during the holiday program so this week we have created a tower competition that will finish Friday morning with the winner announced Friday afternoon. So far, we have a lot of entries into the competition, some children multiple times. It’s been great to see younger and older children working together and creating sky-high towers. 

This week we have had both sun and rain with the children being great sports and adapting to the weather fantastically. On Monday and Tuesday, we were lucky to spend both days outside and even use the gym in the morning for group games.  On Wednesday it was quite wet outside, so we decided to do group games in the gym which consisted of skittles and fruit salad. In the TheirCare room, we built towers and played games and then we were able to watch the movie The Wish Dragon, which the children loved. 

This week’s Star of the Week for TheirCare is Edmund Durie for always being a great help in group games and always making sure other kids are okay, especially the younger kids. Well done!!!!!

Holiday program activities have come out with some exciting excursions planned. From visiting Bounce, going to Inflatable World, Funtopia and going to see the new movie Elementals. There are flyers in the TheirCare room and online which have details about what is happening each day and all the fun things we have planned.
