NATURAL CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS THAT CAN BE RECYCLED

This week our juniors learnt how to make Christmas wreaths using plant cuttings. The wreath was formed out of rosemary cuttings. We added cuttings of red bottle brush and white flowering tea tree we found in our school yard to use for decoration. We also add tinsel. Once Christmas is over, the dried rosemary can be used in cooking. Dried flowers can be kept or composted and tinsel reused. They did a great job making their wreaths. Students also watched the Behind The News episode about natural versus plastic Christmas trees to find out what was best for the environment.
