A Message from the Principal

Parent Volunteers at the Moncrieff Community Picnic

A warm welcome back to school for Term 2.  I hope that Ramadan is progressing well for you all.  We have quite a few tired students which is to be expected for those that are fasting.  We are being as gentle and supportive with them as possible.  This involves more rest during the day and reduced physical activities.

This term we have opened up our Learning Hub for students at lunch time.  This room houses our selection of library books, games, lego and craft equipment.  The idea is to give students some more options of things to do.  The room (which was the old front office) is also used for learning support and extension mathematics classes. It has been lovely to see the student's make use of this new space.

I have also had quite a few people ask about our prayer space, which is housed in the new administration building.  Unfortunately and quite frustratingly, we are not yet able to use it as there are still a few things that need to be completed.  Please exercise patience in this area.  We want the students to have a beautiful space in which to pray - InshAllah it won't be too much longer.

We have an extremely busy term planned. Please have a look at our Term 2 Calendar of Events for details of all the great opportunities ahead for your children.  As per usual please feel free to contact me directly if you need clarification or assistance.  I look forward to speaking with you all at some point during the term.
