Mr Hyatt

Wow! Where has Term 3 gone?

As you are receiving this edition of the newsletter, we will be entering the early stages of the school holidays. It is quite a shock that we are already at this stage of the academic year and it only seems like yesterday I was working with the staff on the first day of the term. However, looking back, Term 3 has been very hectic indeed and it has been at times a hectic but a rewarding journey with a number of highlights. But I am definitely looking forward to the break and I have to admit that I am still getting over the Year 5-6 Excursion to Canberra last week. A full round-up of the excursion is included in this newsletter.

Anyway, I would like to thank all members of our school community for their support throughout the term. Have A Restful And Safe Holiday. Enjoy the beautiful spring weather. I look forward to seeing everyone on Tuesday 11th October.

TERM 4 PUPIL FREE DAY

On the first day of Term 4 (Monday 10th October), there will be a Pupil Free Day. Students will return back to school on Tuesday 11th October. I do apologise for any inconveniences that this may cause.

Students return to school on Tuesday 11th October in their summer uniform.

2022 Brain Olympia

This is the first time in a number of years that St Patrick's Primary will be entering a team in the Brain Olympia. The Brain Olympia involves our students competing against other schools in various academic challenges. Some of the challenges include solving various general knowledge and mathematical problems, public speaking, and performing a drama presentation using a chosen topic. Our team consisting of 8 students from Years 4, 5 and 6 will compete against other smaller schools with an enrollment under 100 in the Plains Cluster at St Edward's Primary School, Tamworth on Wednesday 26th October. If we are in the top two teams in the small schools' section, we will then be invited to compete at the Diocese Final at Narrabri on Wednesday 9th November. We wish our team the very best of luck.
