Middle School Report

As we come to the end of Semester One, I would like to take the opportunity to thank students for the great start to the year. It is very pleasing to witness and hear that a clear majority of students are adhering to Lowanna’s expectations.

Again, it has been a different start to the year. I would like to thank students and parents for the way students handled the lockdown and working from home, many teachers were impressed by the number of students who emailed them regarding work that needed to be done or clarification on exam revision.

It was very pleasing to see the diligence and attendance from both year 9 & 10 students undertaking the exams, please contact your teacher if necessary to discuss the outcomes of exams.

In the coming week reports will be posted for parents and students to read. I would encourage you to look at these reports and use them as a reflection tool for your future education. If parents or students have any questions regarding reports, I ask you to contact the relevant teacher for follow up.

Students have started Head Start for Semester Two subjects this week and have settled in well, there is minimal room for class changes as these should have been completed this week.

Uniform and attendance will again be a major focus going forward, so I ask that with the weather getting colder and wetter that students be in the correct uniform. As communicated to students and parents we are offering a “Lowanna Puffer Jacket” that will be warmer than the ‘soft shell’ jacket currently on offer. These will be available from the General office, students are welcome to come and try on for sizing. The jackets will be available at a reduced price of $79.95 (normally RRP $99.95), via the college. The navy jackets will be available for pre-order within in the next fortnight, with a deposit of $49.95, and the balance of $30.00 upon collection.

Enjoy your two-week break and be ready and recharged for a big Semester 2.
