Principal's Report

Dear parents, carers and kin,

I have just returned to school this week and it has been wonderful to see the students again.  Hearing their stories of the activities they did during the holidays was wonderful.  At school there have been a number of activities including  a visit from our local NDIS area coordinators form the Brotherhood Of St Lawrence.  From all accounts it was very productive and we look forward to their return next Wednesday.  I also heard the great news about our students performance in cross country last week.  We had three students achieve medals - Alice, Chloe and Josh.  A big congratulations to these students.

A reminder that masks are recommended and encouraged at schools.  Naranga supports this and is able to provide families with masks for school if you wish.  Just call the school and let us know and we will send them home.  This also applies to RAT tests, we have many in stock for any families who would like them.  If you have any questions please call the school and we can discuss things further if you like.

PLC2 had a community access visit to our local Bunnings where the students took part in a program of potting plants.  As we return to more regular programs is great to see the importance and real success of community access.

Due to the cold weather on Wednesday, our school assembly was held online.  It was a clear example of how our students have adapted to being able to change quickly.  I have heard a number of comments how the students were able to  adjust confidently and enthusiastically to the change.

Finally,  a reminder the school photographers are visiting Monday to finish photographing the students who were away on the last photo day.  It will give us the opportunity to finish some of the class photos and the whole school photo.

It is great to see term 3 in full swing.
