Principal's Report
Dear parents,
Yesterday 26 May was National Sorry Day. Students have been learning of its significance. This day acknowledges and raises awareness of the history and continued effect of the forced removal of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people from their families, communities and culture. National Reconciliation Week starts today and celebrates and builds on the respectful relationships shared by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and other Australians.
Parents and carers are reminded to follow road safety rules when dropping and picking up children from school. Please use the school’s kiss and drop zone sensibly. When crossing the road while walking, use the school crossing with your child. It's extremely important that we model safe behaviour for our children.
Congratulations to Hunter and Selvakumar who have both recently been selected to represent the Sydney West Region at State carnivals. Hunter has been selected to represent in Rugby League and Aussie Rule, while Sambhavi was selected to represent in tennis. We wish these students all the best.
As the cold weather is approaching please ensure your child is dressed in the appropriate winter uniform. Please mark jumpers, jackets and hats clearly with your child's name and class.
Some good news! Our school is in the planning stages of resuming stage assemblies in Term 3 where parents and carers will be invited back onto the school site to watch. Our school will continue to apply layered COVID-smart measures when planning these events. An assembly schedule will be shared with families towards the end of this term.
Have a great weekend!
