Road Safety

ROAD SAFETY

As you know, the safety of every child, every family, and every staff member is of paramount importance. Unfortunately, at home time, this is becoming increasingly difficult due to unsafe road practices.

Just a few reminders to keep all of us safe.

  • There are stop signs posted on all four sides of the crossing. This means between the hours of 8:30 - 9AM and 2:30-3:30 pm (school days) you are not allowed to stop for any reason. Also, the council does patrol this and has issued fines in the past.
  • When pulling into and out of a car parking space, please be aware of other drivers and remember to use indicators.
  • Please stop when the crossing monitor is on the road and wait until everyone is on the pavement before driving over the crossing.
  • We ask that instead of doing a U-turn you use the roundabouts at the top and bottom of the streets. This is both for safety and to stop traffic congestion.

We thank you for your support in keeping everyone safe.
