Pemulwuy National Male Voice Festival

Congratulations to students Sebastian Kaminski, Michael Sorbello, Vincent Butten, George Pollard, Max Bathersby and Zac Wright; Old Boys Ciaran Kennedy & Nick Anderson as well as father of Max, Dominic Bathersby, who participated in this year’s Pemulwuy National Male Voice Festival. This triennial festival celebrates the idea that when men’s voices join together, something magical happens! Participants worked over three days with guest conductors and choirs from around the country, which culminated in a 400 strong massed performance of Paul Jarman’s “Pemulwuy”. The final performance at QPAC on Sunday 9 July was a fine example of this magic in action.

Drama Performance ‘Murder on the Menu’

Wednesday 26 July - 7pm | Draney Theatre

Artemis Ward, the proud owner of Ward Books, is murdered in his favourite restaurant while waiting for a mysterious dinner guest who never arrives. Everyone’s a suspect – his own son and daughter, his nephew, the restaurant owner, and many others who crawl out of the woodwork. Can the conveniently-placed coroner and his reporter friend solve the crime without the aid of police? Why does the list of suspects just keep growing? All members of the Marist Community are invited to the Theatre Ash production of “Murder on the Menu” by Bill Hand. You might even win a prize for guessing “whodunnit”.
