WOULD YOU RATHER?

MAKE LITTER OR CARS ILLEGAL?

It is quite obvious litter should be illegal because it’s absolutely ghastly to the environment, making cars illegal instead is a ridiculous decision. Imagine going on a walk that’s purely natural, no man-made rubbish scarring the landscape forever. Fresh, crisp air and dazzling sights will always beat litter. Every time my family and I go to our favourite place for a calming stroll, litter constantly surrounds us. It sits, rotting in pools of muck, revolting everyone that happens to come by. For that reason litter must be made illegal.

Everyone around the world needs to understand that their rubbish can fatally injure land or sea dwelling creatures. Although it’s all absolutely dreadful our ocean animals got the pointy end of the stick. Only 32% of turtles die of old age, while the rest get tangled in or eat our litter. Doctor C.B Smith (an environmentalist from A.C.T University) states because plastic bags and jellyfish and other food sources like fish, look almost exactly like the litter the poor animals swallow it can greatly confuse them. This is absolutely outrageous!

It is vitally important everybody is aware that all of the litter in landfill can release dangerous greenhouse gasses. As a consequence that gas causes something we know as global warming or climate change. In the North and South Poles, the weather is rapidly shifting. Many unfortunate animals such as polar bears or walruses are having to discover alternate ways to survive with less and less ice. Is this really what we want? Do we really want to tell our future children or grandchildren we created climate change? Am I the ONLY one who realises what a catastrophe this is?
