Principal's Message

Aspire, Celebrate, Reflect

Principal, Mr Roger Herbert
Principal, Mr Roger Herbert

Welcome back to all of our new and returning students. What a pleasure it is to see so many smiling faces this week. The theme for this year is Aspire, Celebrate, Reflect and we are encouraging both staff and students to truly embody the meaning behind these three words.

This year we are continuing to Aspire finding the next best practice so every SPC student, Strives for personal bests, Seeks truth and Cares through contribution to something bigger than self. It is then important to celebrate their successes, however small or large they may be, and reflect on their wins or their losses and to always improve and develop. I look forward to the Positive Education our students will receive this year from our staff who will coach and support them to the best of their ability.

I would also like to take this opportunity to welcome our new staff members Rachel Kummerfeld, Chloe McCarthy, Malcolm McClelland, Santino Merino, Felix Nicholson and Tim Schofield. Welcome back to  Ruby Barber, Camille Bernadino, Andrea Collins, Stacey Gill, Tracy Hurst and Kym Ritchie who are returning after a leave of absence and a special welcome to our recent 2020 graduates, Micaela Hull, Ashlee Langford, Kaylee Robinson and Alannah Whitehead who have all taken up job opportunities here at the College. If you would like to know more about our newest members, please read this week's special article, Staff at SPC.

May 2021 be a year where we all contribute and care for our community.

Thank you and Be Kind Always,
