Another great term of teaching and learning
Year 7
I am thrilled to acknowledge the incredible achievements of our Year 7 students as they complete their first half year of high school. It has been a journey filled with growth, learning, and memorable experiences.
Our Year 7 students have shown exceptional resilience, adaptability, and a strong commitment to their studies. They have successfully navigated the transition from primary to high school, embracing new challenges and opportunities along the way. Their enthusiasm and eagerness to learn has been truly commendable.
To celebrate their accomplishments and provide an opportunity for open communication, we will be hosting the Year 7 Parent Teacher Meetings on Tuesday, 25 July. This event will allow you to meet with your child's teachers, discuss their progress, and gain valuable insights into their academic journey.
We encourage all parents and guardians to mark this important date in your calendars and join us for an informative and engaging afternoon. It will be an excellent opportunity to strengthen the home-school partnership and ensure the continued success of our Year 7 students. Bookings for this event will open early next term, so please keep an eye out for the email.
Year 11
I am delighted to share the success of the 2023 Biggest Morning Tea event. The event was organised by our incredible Year 11 cohort, who demonstrated outstanding teamwork and dedication to support a great cause. It was a delightful morning filled with scrumptious treats, warm conversations, and an overwhelming sense of community spirit.
The Year 11 cohort truly embraced the responsibility of hosting this significant fundraising event. They planned every detail, from arranging the venue to curating a diverse range of delectable treats. Their creativity shone through as they transformed the TAS quad into a welcoming space adorned with vibrant decorations and colourful table settings.
The Biggest Morning Tea event raised an astonishing amount of $ 3453.25, which will be donated to the Cancer Council. This impressive achievement reflects the incredible generosity of our school community, and I extend my heartfelt gratitude to all who contributed.
I am immensely proud of our Year 11 students for their exceptional leadership, creativity, and compassion. Their commitment to making a positive impact in the fight against cancer is truly inspiring. I would also like to acknowledge the dedicated Year Advisers of Year 11, Andrew Faga and Bianca Li Donni, who supported and guided our students throughout the planning for this wonderful event.
