3J
Yay, we are finally back at school!
I wonder how 3J feels about this?
3J students are ready to dive back into their old school life. After the long break that just happened they are all so excited to see their friends and catch up, and I know that some students are busting to get out and play some handball. They’re also excited to see all the teachers that helped them and supported them during home learning and ready to say a big thank you! Even though it can be exciting going back, it can be very nerve wracking and scary due to what just happened and still is happening. I asked them the question “What makes you feel safe at school?” I got a variety of answers including how each time they enter the classroom and leave they have to sanitise and how we have the house colour dismissal. These small little things that we changed in our daily routine make just the difference for a student to feel safer and more welcomed. So what have they been doing? They have been looking at fractions in maths and at persuasive writing which they are very excited about. 3J students are ready to have fun and learn! By Jessica J
3M
The wish was to come back to school, and it has been granted! 3M are over the moon to be back because they are able to be in a classroom environment with their friends and their teacher! For history, they have been focusing on family celebrations and traditions. In religion, 3M have been studying Pentecost, the time when the Holy Spirit came down on the disciples. This hard working class has been zooming through their school work, like in English where they have been working on persuasive writing with topics such as their favourite pets. They have been exhilarated to see a new teacher at the gate everyday on sanitiser duty; this makes them feel more safe and welcomed than they already are! Wow, Awesome Work! By Aidan D and Catalina P
