Teaching and Learning Focus: Assessments

Throughout the year students will undertake a range of literacy and numeracy assessments. These assessments are used as a benchmark for teachers to inform them of students' next point of learning. At St. Joseph’s we use this data for targeted teaching, this means that students will be given tasks to challenge and extend them in their individual areas of learning. 

Teachers will communicate with you throughout the year via phone calls, emails and interviews should they have any concerns about your child’s learning.
