From the Principal's desk
It has been a very smooth start to the beginning of term 3 with some very chilly mornings. As I have walked around the classrooms over the past week, I have been amazed by how settled the students are in the classrooms. I would like to thank the staff for making me feel so welcome and encourage all families to call in to say hello.
Events coming up:
This Friday all students will attend a Meercat Performance at school based on the book 'Frank's Red Hat', a story about never giving up on your talents, because even though what you do may not be appreciated right now, it may be in time. The senior students will participate in the 'Lightning Premiership' on the 9th of August. On the 18th of August the Prep to Year 2 students will visit the Kyabram Fauna Park for the day. During the week of 7th of August the Year 5 and 6 students will be holding an expo and presenting a business they have created. The students have worked hard and completed a lot of research creating a business they would like to build. The kinder students will be coming over to visit the expo during the kinder sessions.
Parent/Teacher/Student Conferences
On Tuesday the 1st of August we will be running Parent/Students/Teacher conferences. Parents will have the opportunity to book a 15 minute interview with their classroom teacher between 8:45am and 6pm. Students will not be required to attend school that day, however, will be asked to attend the interview. During this time parents or carers will be able to ask questions about the Semester 1 reports as well as teachers and students will discuss new goals for semester 2. Booking will open on Tuesday the 25th of July.
