Career Update

I would like to wish Year 12 students’ good luck and success in whatever pathway they choose for the future. Sandringham College is committed to supporting students to reach their goals and the career department will be busily working to provide advice to students of all year levels until the end of the year. If you have any questions about pathways or subjects the Careers Room is open.

A busy time for Year 12 – What is ahead!

Getting your results and ATAR

Your VCE study scores, ATAR and VTAC Scaled Study Scores will be available to you via the Results and ATAR website and the Results and ATAR app. All current VCE students will receive a statement of VCE study scores from the VCAA. However, only students who have applied for courses through VTAC this year and have paid their VTAC processing fees will be sent an ATAR statement in the mail.

How to access your results online

The VCE results and ATAR Service will be available in December.

To view your results online, log on to resultsandatar.vic.edu.au using the instructions provided there. Note: The Results and ATAR service log in details are different from your VTAC ID and PIN. Students will need their Student Number to create an account. All Year 12 students who have a VTAC account also have their student number.

VCE students can access their ATAR in the VTAC account.

To prepare for the change of preference period I will be emailing parents and students specific advice and a planner which I hope all students will use.  During the change of preference period I will be available to help students with general advice, researching pathway options or reordering preferences. I will be at school all day Thursday 16th December and Friday 17th  December until 12 pm. I would encourage as many students as possible who need assistance to make an appointment during these times. I will also be available until the end change of preference period for continued support.

During this time most tertiary institutions run a Change of Preference service and send all

details through when they become available.

Year 11

Any Year 11 student who has completed a Unit 3 and 4 subject this year can access their results using the instructions under Getting your results and ATAR. The important thing to remember is that you will need your student number to create an account. You can get your student number from your Teacher, student manager, Deb Hanlen or Marg Forbes.

My Career Portfolio

During Headstart all students will be sighed up the government initiative My Career Portfolio. My Career Portfolio is designed to support students with resources to capture their career goals and plans.

Students can use My Career Portfolio to:

  • create and update an online Career Action Plan
  • store files related to their course and career planning, such as their Morrisby online report, resumes, awards and examples of their schoolwork (for example, videos and artworks)
  • access links to current information and resources to support course and career exploration.
