Staff Profiles

Loretta Robbins

Acting Assistant Principal & Learning of Pedagogy and Curriculum Leader

1. How long have you been at Sacred Heart?

This is my first full year at Sacred Heart after I spent Term 4 last year with the Year 3/4 students. Before that I worked at a very big school in Melbourne as their Deputy Principal. We had 700 students and 28 classes. So Sacred Heart is a very nice change!

2. What is your favourite thing about your job?

The best thing about my job is that I get to see children laughing and playing and learning every day. There are not many jobs where you get to do that so I think teaching is just the best job ever! That is why I have been doing it for so long.

3. Any kids/pets?

I have 3 daughters who are all grown up now. Jessica is a nurse who works in Melbourne; Hannah is a teacher who works in the Northern Territory; and Georgia is a lawyer who works in Melbourne. I also have two grandchildren, Issy and Alex.  At home I have my husband Neil and we have a cat and a dog. Our dog’s name is Tash and she is a kelpie who loves to run and chase balls and play with her sister who lives next door. Our cat is  Gypsy and she likes to sleep a lot because she is 21 years old!!!

4. What are your hobbies?

When I am not working I love to spend time in my garden. It is my happy place.

5. Favourite holiday destination?

I think my favourite holiday destination is the Northern Territory because I get to see my daughter, who I miss a lot. I also love the outback colors and the beautiful landscape of the Territory. It is an amazing and unique place.
