Year 5/6 Girls football team

Girls Football Gala Day

A group of girls from grade 5/6 took part in the AFL Gala Day at Kilsyth on Monday May 1.

It was a beautiful day for most of the girls to have their first experience of playing football.

Our first game against an extremely challenging one and we found it difficult to get any rhythm in our play.  By the third game we had a win over St Patrick's,  Unfortunately that was our last win missing out by 1 and 2 points against Healesville and Billanook.

Although it wasn't a 'scoreboard' winning day, what was most satisfying was the way the girls improved their game, willingness to get the ball and the spirit they brought to the day.

Cross Country

The cross country falls on camp time for Years 5 & 6 so they can run in the Wandin District event at Margaret Lewis Reserve Coldstream, Friday May 19. Permission slips will be distributed to those wanting to take part.

Cross Country for Years 3 & 4 will be at Wesburn Reserve on Friday May 26.  Again the permission form has more detail.

It is important to note, parents are responsible for taking students to these events.  They do include a fee that must be deposited in the school account prior to the event.
