Dear Parents,

As we settle into this term, just a reminder that children are asked to now wear their summer uniforms. Thank you to all those families that have ensured that their child has the correct sunglasses and hats.

Production

Next week, our Year 5 and 6 children will be performing Pirates vs Mermaids for our final production of the year. I know that there are many children looking forward to their performance. Tickets are still available ($5 each) for those who would like to attend. The matinee is at 12.30pm & the evening 5.30pm.

Holy Name Mums' Night Out

Come on down to Welcome to Thornbury for a casual get together with the wonderful mums in our community. Come grab something to eat, drink or just come to have a chat. This is a great opportunity to catch up with other mums from your year level and meet other mums from the school. Drop by anytime from 7:00pm.

Scholastic Book Club

Tomorrow (Friday) is the last day to place a book club order, either online or by sending in your form & cash to the office. All orders must be in by 3.30pm.

Second Hand Uniform Sale

We will be holding a small uniform sale at the office, starting next Thursday 27th October.

Bring small notes or coins only. The items are in good condition & range from $2 to $10.

Dates for Next Year

We are in the midst of planning for 2023 as we wrap up 2022. At this point, many dates are still to be confirmed. As our dates are confirmed, I will continue to put them in the newsletter.

Friday 27th January - Staff return

Monday 30th January - Preps in from 9-11

Tuesday 31st January- All students from Prep -Year 6 return to school

Wednesday 8th March-Friday 10th March- Year 5/6 Camp

Sunday 19th March- Family Fun Day

School Fees

Term 4 Statements were emailed to families earlier this term. If you didn't receive it, check your spam folder. Please contact the office if you have any queries.

We ask that your account be finalised by Wednesday 30th November, 2022 unless you have a current Direct Debit arrangement in place.

P&F Mango Order

Ordering has now closed for our mango fundraiser.

If you have already placed an order, please make your payment now. You can send in cash, or pay by eftpos/credit card in person or credit card over the phone, to the school office.

Story Time

There are two more story time sessions......Do you have a preschool aged child that enjoys listening to stories? Why not bring them to story time? This is open to all preschoolers. The sessions have proved very popular and are held in the Library area from 2.30 to 3.15pm.

WORKING BEE

Special thanks to the families that helped out at our most recent Working Bee. It was a small but very hard working group who cleaned up all the trees and bushes from behind the basketball courts. The students were excited to get back many balls they lost over the year.

ASSEMBLY

Assembly will be in the Hall every Monday at 2:30pm. All parents are welcome.
